Yesturday for band e had a substitute Mrs. Barger and for the whole time bascically we played our sheet music.  For science e had a speaker come in to talk about monarch butterflies with us.  Mrs. Persons showed us baby caterpillars and three full grown butterflies.  She told us about tagging butterflies and what they eat.  We played mummy ball for 10 minutes then we packed up.  That was the exciting part of yesturdays day.

Hello Parents!

Permission slips and letters were sent home today regarding a field trip to Hemlock Park.  The trip is on Friday, June 6th from 12:30-2:30.  Students should bring sack lunches as this will be during our lunch time.  We want all fifth graders to attend, so please make sure your child returns their slip as soon as possible.  Also, parents are welcome, so we would love it if you would join us and have some fun celebrating the end of the school year.

Today is May 27, 2008.  My favorite part of today would probably be art.  Art is my favorite part of the day because we get to make stuff and I think thats really cool and we also watched a movie about this guy who loves nature and he traveles to places all around the world and he looks for things she can use and he makes things in the shapes of rivers and streams.  It is really cool.

     Friday was a very good day.  We had a sub, her name was Mrs. Locker she was fun.  My faverite part of friday was when we got to play a math game it was one of the best math games ever.  I also liked mummy ball at the end of the day.  Friday was the last day of the school week and I was happey for the weekend.  That is what I liked about friday.

Today we went band.  In band we did these things called play offs.  Each sections had to play a song together.  Our special today was library.  We worked on our bibliography papers.  Me, Katie H. and Joseph do 6th grade math.  We were working on chapter 6 review for reading we go to 6th grade also.  We read a story called sweeping Pittsburg Clean.  At recess a lot of the kids played 4 square, but I read my book and finished it.  During A.R. Katie H, Katie V., and Sara T.A. ed. and I worked on this.  At science Miss. Morris told us what we are doing instead of a test.  We had a test in social studies.  At the end of the day, we played Mummyball.

Today in the morning we did sudoku’s. for 15 min.  Then we all went to band.  exceped 3 people (cleveland, larumie, Jerri) we all read or did the sudoku’s.  Then we all went to art (the whole class.)  We made print of pictures.  It was fun then we were think of a topic of how to write a research paper.  After that we read.  We did open court next.  We are reading Aberic the Wise.  We read on the floor in a circle.  After that we did a math test (a retake.)  We all did corrections 110.  Later we went to recess then lunch then read.  We went to science.  After that we did S.S.  The class read #8 A last stand.  We went over it too.  After that we did a letter to Mr. Ulysses S. Grant.  Then we all play mummy ball.

Hi!  Im Keeona and I’m the reporter for Mis. Bellgowens class for the day, anyway.  So I’ll tell you 7 things I liked about today and 3 things I disliked.  So hears 10 things I liked 1st, I liked morning work this morning we had to read but well every one else got to read I worked on my poster for crosroads barthday party so I like that a lot!  2nd, I like band we played our music today and it was rilly fun!  3rd, today in la (language arts) we took 2 test so we didn’t do much and thats how I like it.  4th, I loved recess.  I play alien hot shots with my friends that was my favorite part.  5th AR time thats win we sit and read for 30 min.  I love reading its so much fun but of course you always have to close your book just at the good part right.  6th I liked science we olways have fun at science.  7th I had fun at art we made little book lits for ourselfs or someone else so I made one for filesha my couzin.  Ok so lets hear the 3 thing I disliked 1th math we had corections.  Ok. 2dn lunch I had pbj again I dislike PBJ.  3rd activity I disliked the activity I couldn’t partisapate I had to leave early.

    Today, we have had a great day, first it started off with morning work we had to make our school know that Crossroads was having it’s tenth birthday party on May 21, 2008 from 5:00-8:00pm.  Then after that we went to band and finished off taking our chair-tests, after that was finished we got to practice our sheet music for our June concert.  Soon after that, we went down to the new library to check things out and read in it for the first time ever.  Then we did our math and at 12:15 we began to play Around the World for 15 minutes before recess.

     Then it was A.R and we have to be at 50% by friday so we could go out for extra recess.  At 3:05 we began to play mummyball for 10 minutes, then we had to pack up and go home.  And that is the end of our school day.

     What we did today in class is this morning we worked on our posters for crossroads birthday and then we had to leave to go to band and we played songs then we had to go to special which was music and we had to work on a secret code made by a famous composer we have to figure out a code made by a famous composer we have to figure out a code and then we have to answer some questions about the composer and during music we had to leave for ACES we had to go down to the track and we could either walk or run and it was sprinkling a little bit and it did it on and off we had to walk and run for 15 minutes and at the end of ACES it started to sprinkle a little harder and some teachers had umbrellas so they stayed dry and when ACES was over we went back to our classroom and we played sparkle then we worked on our papers for writing then we cleaned up and we did math today we learned aobut schedules and then we went down to recess and then we went to lunch next we go up to the classroom and we do ar and we need to be at 50% this week and then after ar we go to science then we go back to our classroom we do social studies then we get ready to go home

Hello Parents!

Today picture packets will be sent home.  If you decide to purchase the packet or part of the packet, your child can either pay the office or I will deliver the money to the office for them.  If you decide not to purchase the packet, please send the packet back.

Also, a notice will be sent home regarding physicals for the 2008-2009 school year.  Students who plan to participate in athletics offered through CCA should consider taking advantage of a sports physical clinic being conducted by Mrs. Catherine Balanda, a nurse practitioner and CCA parent.  Physicals will be done on Tuesday, May 13th from 10-1:30p.m. in the elementary gym.  In order for a physical to be performed by Mrs. Balanda, the form that will be sent home today must be filled out completely and signed by both the parent and the student.  The fee for the physical is $10 and must be turned in with the physical form.
